The board is a little stagnant, so I had to spice it up a bit, here ya go, do this mod!

I went with these guys: Billet Grille,Billet Grill,Billet Grills, Billet Grilles,Mesh Grilles,Truck Accessories,Chevy,Ford,GMC,Dodge,Cadillac,Lincoln,Toyota,Nissan
Because they said they have better quality and they did have more pieces. 37 + 6 optional for SE, but I got 42 and had 3 left over, 2 were Steering Wheel Options I could not use, (Radio Control Wheels only), and One was for X's with a Locker and VDC, (Not me)! The quality was there! Very hard to scratch! And when I cut my Key Mod Trim from the leftover parts, I could tell it was very Scratch Resistant and Real CF! So, they "talk the talk and walk the walk"! I'd go to these people again!

OK, they make this kit up fresh! It takes 10 Days at least. I missed that on their website. Anyhow it came today and took about 2 hours to install, most of that time was removing my Carbon Fiber Contact Mod, and cleaning. The stuff is high quality and packaged pretty good, I found the Instructions AFTER I installed it. They were on back of layout sheet. Anyhow, pretty easy, yea some rough spots, 3m Grips 1st time so no second chance. Fit, place, rip backing off, stick, press. Done.

The hardest part was the shifter, pretty touch and go, you have to take it apart and do some thinking, The rubber boot has to be removed and re-installed on the trim after you put CF on. Kinda tricky but you can handle it. Can you figure what piece goes where? Tip, use a marker and plan it out on the board, name each part and clean the entire dash part by part before you start. Use the Adhesive Promoter!

Ok this is a shot of the whole gambit, Man, I can't say how many pieces there were, they said it was a 37 Piece Kit, but I lost count at 42. And I had 3 left over! Notice trim around vent to left of vent, Pretty detailed! Almost too much!

I was pretty amazed they included all this, Look around even the 4x4 Control. And the Glove Box. I had to relocate my Lev-o-gage.
And some other stuff.

In this shot you can see the 4x4 better and they got all the Cup Holder and a LOT of the Shifter area! Way more than other kits! They even gave me a part for below the Heater Controls. Quite impressed! You can see a tad of the Steering Wheel Trim too.

This is a good Dash shot that shows the coverage of the Door Controls. And not seen is the panel behind where you open the door, that flat part, it's also covered. And you may see some other things. The panels below and left and right of Steering is covered too.

Look at that Shifter and Console coverage! And how do you start that X?

Nice job MC. Again you lead the way and show us ways to make the X an expression of ourselves. Thanks for being willing to take risks!

Well it did turn out to be a pretty good deal after all. From the pictures, it almost looks like miniature diamond plate.

I haven't got a real chance to "look" at it yet. By time I was done, that's ALL I saw was Carbon Fiber! So I can certainly agree with the guy who works with it all day not wanting it.

But, it sure does blend in good with the interior of my X. Some of you know I ran a test run with taht Carbon Fiber "Look" stuff and some of that was left on. Plus I have some other CF things.

I saw iton a 1st gen X and said, that's what I want. So I did it.

I think I went over the edge! LOL

Anyways, if someone is considering, they have an Idea.

The one part of the dash I have a scratch in, no CF covers! Go figure!

Now there's something that really would peel off in the AZ heat nicely :) I personally don't like it, Carbon Fiber is way to Ricey for my liking. But - It does certainly add personalization to your X and if you like it, then that's all that matters. Nice one.

Where did you get those Tilt guages from? Looking to get a couple of those myself.

It's in the stereo install section but i think my wife de hosted the pictures so I have to re do it.

I'll work on it next layover. Basically, you take a spray cap that fits, you fill it with adhesive, stick the key in and stick the cap on, get it the way ya want, and it dries Key is in the cap. When you put it in even the dealer thinks it don't have a key. LOL Freaks everyone out. I have two, one that works and a dummy one. In high crime areas, I put the dummy one in to thwart the thieves even more.

Well, it's not going to just fall off. But I am pretty sure I can get it off with a heat gun and what don't work with that will come off with 3m adhesive remover. But why would you spend $300 and then take it off?
I am about sure it would be no good to anyone after taking it off. MC

The company I ordered from had the most pieces in the kit, my Kit came with pieces for a S or SE or OR, So you have more parts than needed, just some don't go on. Anything looks better than the factory plastic.
Wood is cool, They have a lot of choices. It is really easy to install and durable. The durability factor and the extra piece count is why I went with the co I did. MC
