Wheeling Location: Rausch Creek Off Road Park 453 Molleystown Road Tremont, PA 17981 (click HERE for directions).
DETAILS: HERE!
undercarriage contact with rocks is free rust scale removal.Oh yeah. Then bouncing it off some rocks on off camber ice covered trails...it's all trouble. Ya do get a free event sticker...
That’s something only you can decide for yourself. It seems like you use this site and XN exclusively to promote your events and rarely participate in any other discussions or threads. It doesn’t seem fair to complain about the lack of activity when you yourself aren’t active. I mean, unless somebody has been to one before, nobody knows what your title means. There’s no region or location mentioned, which would be the first thing “new” people would see. Somebody could be a casual user living minutes from that location, and wouldn’t know to click on this thread. My friends, has putting these types of events together in the northeast and posting them on this board become a waste of time and effort?
The above question has the question mark, but just reads like a statement of wasting time. For me I think its just the way the question reads. I dont think you are wasting time posting for this event. I probably would go if I wasnt in Florida and busy as I am. The site was popping pretty good when I first joined and feels like an ebb and flow of activeness. Its been quieter the past few weeks. We are here lurking though. 🤣Thank you for your response. I'm a big boy and asked a question that might have come off as "harsh" (passive-aggressive) so no worries.
I try to promote NEXterra events here and on XN, CX, TheX, instagram and XOC when they happen. I'm the only NEXterra guy still participating on these forums in any way at all. One or two of the other guys within the club normally post about these things on other platforms (facebook, etc). I'm not on those things.
I realize I don't have much contribute on this board besides trying to get folks out on the trails (800+ posts since 2009) but I don't really participate on these forums to socialize, just to learn or pass on knowledge.
As a "1st Gen" guy I don't really have much to offer in that regard on this board. My posts are intentionally "passive" for that reason.
Do you think it would be better to have the date and location in the title?
"Open run, Rausch, 1/14/2023"
Do you think I should have spelled out the details within the OP instead of just providing the link?
I'm just trying to give folks, especially those new to Off-Roading, an opportunity to give it a try with a friendly, welcoming group. If folks on this board aren't interested it's cool, I'd just like to know if I'm wasting my time.
Again, thanks.
Yes I think the location (actual location and not just part of the private park name) would help. For example, “Nexterra Whatever Run - Rausch Creek Park (City, PA) - 1/14/23 - All skill levels”Thank you for your response.
