I have been reading the forum for a number of months now, and I love the info everyone provides. I have a question about the new Rancho Quick-lift system http://www.gorancho.com/html/products/shocks/quicklift.html

What do you think of it? Is it better to go with something from AC or Calmini?

I want to put 285's on my '05 OR. I go off-road a few times a month, but I hate the fact the the rear bottom's out so easily.

Look in the suspension section, sticky = "xterra lift options." Get something else dude.

I checked the "lift options" and I like the calmini AAL with a shackle but I am unsure of the front-end spacer. Reading all the posts regarding the spacers, won't I be better off with a new coil and shock from AC? Also, by putting a AAL and shackle doesn't that now require new shocks?

i have all the parts for the rancho quick lift sitting in my xterra right now. i have read in other forums on the web that they do not cause bucket contact due to their design. someone else here has them and said the ride gets a little bumpier but that doesnt bother me a bit. i will have a lot more info for you in about 2 weeks when i put them on.

i will be running the quick lifts in the front and the 9000XL's in the back. i will also put on some AC shackles i have laying around depending on what kind of rake i have. i'll keep you posted.

Get Radflos w/ or w/o new UCA's, end of story as far as the front goes. In the rear, an AAL or Timbren bump-stops will fix your bottoming out issue.
