Rancho 9000XL Lift Results

Installed the Rancho Quicklift assemblies in the front with matching rear Rancho shocks and the Rough Country 1.5 inch rear lift shackles. I'm happy with the results. Ride is great. No complaints here. I know the Ranchos have a mixed reputation for longevity but I only drive about 5k miles a year so that shouldn't be a problem for me.

Gained 2.25 inches front and 1.5 rear.

I have the QuickLifts on my X, no idea how much lift I gained, since the X originally had the OEM shocks from '07 and those were shot. The ride was very stiff so I dialed them down to 1, and the ride improved...now I added the ARB bumper and I noticed it kind of dives down when braking, so I dialed it midway, and it improved, now I think I have it at 3/4, and it dives a bit less.
I may dial it all the way up.
I have Bilsteins from a Frontier on the back, with RC shackles from a 2.5in lift kit from the same Frontier.
Sits at about the same height.

I've had the Rancho Quiklifts on mine since middle of last year, my only complaint is that the rubber pads on the top and bottom of the spring are already splitting. It's annoying since other than my time in Houston, it's been in CA where the weather is mild enough to not be causing this.

I got a cool 2.75" out of the front but for the rear, since I also went with OME HD packs, I had to change the rear shocks over to the 4" or so longer Frontier 4wd 9000XL series Ranchos. The Xterra ones were topping out over fast bumps.

The adjustability is fun to play around with and the ride is really smooth riding on the 5 setting

Looks good. I just recently installed those with a new ranchos on the rear and an add-a-leaf to bring the back up to match the height and help the rear not hit the bump stops. I dialed them up to 9 and love the stiff ride.

Lifetime warranty aside, I don't think they'll be lasting long on the hardest setting. It's real tough on the seals long term. This goes for just about any adjustable shock or strut. Also, the vehicle may become less predictable as the fast rebounding will cause bouncing of the contact patch.

Did you have to use aftermarket UCA'S with these? And for the rear, did you use any shims for the leaf springs? OR everything is stock?

No UCAs and no shims. So far so good. But I do hear that needing shims varies truck to truck so I just got lucky.

Are you riding on stock leaf springs? Shouldn't the leaf springs need to have an AAL to match the height of the rear? Are you also running wheel spacers? I like the stance, thinking of going the same route without breaking the bank.

I am on stock springs, but I did install 1.5 inch shackles.
