2015 X (4xpro) with RF stereo. Bought it used.

Starting with the volume knob at zero (no sound), one click up is slightly low for driving, another click up and it is Ok or a bit loud, a third click up and it is uncomfortably loud. And it just gets louder from there.

The head unit doesnt have any gain adjustment. I have figured out the amp is under the passenger seat. Are there any gain adjustments on the amp? Do I need to pull the seat to access it or is there another trick? If amp is not adjustable, how do I get the sound level dropped so the volume adjusts like it should?

I have already done that. They are all bottomed out. There is no "happy medium" with the limited options in the dash unit.

Is there a gain adjustment on the amp? I cant see with it under the seat. I am guessing there isnt. Is it possible that it is out of spec and swapping in another would solve the issue? Or am I on the wrong path and the issue isnt the amp?

I have this same problem when using XM radio. It is very loud at low setting. If I use bluetooth to connect to my phone or AM/FM the volume output is normal.
