Just got off the phone with Team Xterra Racing's owner and driver Dave Blakely and I can confidently say he is stoked to get the X back out in the desert once again...

This Saturday's Terrible's Town 250 in Pahrump, NV is expected to begin under sunny skies and 90+ daytime temperatures--typical NV weather for this time of year with the morning likely to be a bit cool even with temps at the start in the mid 60's...

Hopefully the good weather will turn into a good result for Team Xterra Racing as this race will mark the first race that the Xterra also entered in '06. '06's TT250 was TXR's christening into desert racing and as happens with many new teams, did not last as long as the team had hoped--overheating, computer problems, and ball joint issues all conspired to stop the Xterra after only 140 miles--just more than half the course distance...

Dave anticipates a strong finish in the '07 TT250 as this is the shortest race of the season and despite its deep silt holes and rough terrain, offers this young team its best chance for a solid showing...
