Just an FYI for folks decision making processes: there’s a flash flood watch for the area through late tonight. According to the NWS, they’re expecting upwards of 3” of rain.
I’m going to watch as the day goes on a bit, but I may sadly bow out of this one.

I think we should postpone because of the weather guys.
With the trails being wet and it likely to be raining the while time, that doesn't follow "Tread Lightly" and then with the flash flood warning, I think its just better to put it off till better weather.
Sorry guys, I'm as disappointed about this as anyone.
We'll put our heads together and try to figure out another weekend soon to try again.

Next couple weekends are out for me as well. I’m volunteering at the special Olympics next weekend and then family camping weekend after. Like Terry said, if y’all can go, get on the trail! I’ll catch up one of these days.

I am not ready to call it off. Unless everyone reports in that they aren't coming. I know @IssacHunter has a long trip and I if he is already on the road I am going to make sure I at least show up.

I passed up on a opportunity for a really cool gun class that is rare to come to my area because I had already committed to this trip.

Sorry to hear that you passed up on a gun class. If trails are a bad idea today, I am still interested in a social gathering. I am also 2 hours away so I still have some time to decide. Go ahead and PM me your cell and I will text by noon and let you know if I am driving down, and or if anyone is is going. It was really hard for me to clear the day today so I feel like I want to do "something", even if it isn't Peter's Mill Run.

Fortunately I am not. Terry got a hold of me just before I was to start my 6hr trip. Sorry guys :frown: but their will be another time soon. I took a crash nap and since I'm already loaded up will probably be heading SW to Cherokee National Forest for some exploring and a night of camping either later today or tomorrow pending weather.

It was a good thing you all postponed. flooding has been absolutely nuts here today and yesterday. Not just low water bridges and back roads either. 2 major highways are shut down in Frederick county due to major flooding at the moment.
