How in the heck do you post a picture in your messages?

Posting Pictures.

On the line under the textbox for "Subject" are some buttons, one of which is "Img". You can either use that button, enter the URL for an image, and then use the button again to enter the closing BBCode tag, or just type the tags yourself.

For example, if you had a picture at:
http://www.YourImageHostingCompany.com/YourAccount/YourPic.jpg
and you wanted that picture to be in your posting, you would use this:

Here is my picture:

The 'parts with the square brackets are BBCode (Bulletin Board Code) tags.
You pictures have to be hosted offsite - not on thenewx.org - but there are free photo hosting websites, such as PhotoBucket:
http://photobucket.com/

You simply register, select if you'd like the image to be resized (always do), and upload.

When the photo uploads, you will be given a list of links to use on our forums.

Copy the bottom link and past it in the forums. Highlight the entire link and click the IMG tab just above where you are entering your text.
This will put special Image brackets around your link that will hopefully show up as a photo once you hit Submit.
