I pulled off the pin-striping and dealer sticker (used a blow-dryer, but I'm not sure it was necessary). Anyway. There's a lot of residue left over, so I went and bought some "Goo-gone Pro-power Spray gel"

However, the package said it removes, among other things, paint. Should I be worried about spraying this on my X? Obviously I'll test it in a non-noticeable area first, but I was just wondering if anyone else had used this stuff to remove stickers/etc.?

I've used it before. I think it mostly refers to unfinished paint. I didn't have any problems, although I'd use it sparingly.

You'll wanna throw some paint protectant back on there when you're done.

powerwashing will take most stickers (and all the residue) off just fine.

It (accidentally) took off my nissan logo from my roof rack, and purposefully took off the dealer sticker on the back of my X.
