hey, i am thinking of painting my stock rims. i got the cheepest package nissan offered when i bought my X, now i regret it. im looking to add a little eye appeal cheaply. i was thinkig Duplicolors kit.
im just seeing what you guys think, or if anyone has done something like this before.

nothing wrong with buying what you can get at the time. don't regret it. you can upgrade as you go along and money allows. the only issues would be drive train...4 vs v6, 2wd vs 4wd, etc.

to really do it right, you need to do a good prep job on the wheels (sanding, etc.). Also, it would require a tire dismount to do it really well. it is a great way to change the look. if you plan to upgrade your tires, that is when to do it.

make sure you buy a high quality paint and do several coats. like with any paint job, prep work is what makes the overall, so be patient as you do it.
