Had anyone dealt with a SES light and P0603 code?

Ive been doing various work on my X, including some winch wiring. Ive had the battery out a few times. When I got everything buttoned back up, I got a P0603 “power train control module keep alive (KAM) error”.

Drove around a little, but no change. Truck runs like normal. Disconnected battery again for 5 minutes, and SES light went away….. but then came back the next time I cranked it.

I’m inclined to believe it’s from having the battery out, and will rectify itself at some point? But not 100% sure.
Any thoughts?

From what I've read, the PCM has lost its memory. If the battery is fully charged, voltage at idle and running is OK, then it should cure itself in a day or so. Otherwise you may be looking at a new battery or alternator.

I had the same issue after multiple disconnects of the battery during a heated steering wheel upgrade this weekend. I used my OBD tool to erase the code, didn’t resurface after that.
