Just checking to see if anyone here will be attending the Overland Expo East in Asheville NC Nov 9-11. I plan on camping/attending the event on the 10th. Driving up from the Wilmington NC on the coast.

I might attend for a single day - haven't decided yet. I won't be staying there however. Camping in a field with 1000 other people seems like anti over landing to me?

I couldn't agree more. I'll be attending on Saturday. My plan is to camp at or near Davidson River Campground, visit the event, do some fly fishing for trout and a little trail riding with friends.

I found out about it recently just after I decided to take the week before it off. I talked to the GF about it and she told me switch my vacation and go, but it was too late for me to change it. Oh well, it's been added to my 2019 to-do list. :laugh:

Hey capt seth I also was looking at Davidson river campground. I didn’t know the main campground would fill up. But looking to get into overlanding. Just bought an awning should be here tom. 2.5” lift and 33” tires/wheels I’d like to find some mild trails also. Still not a def that I’m going but I wanted to see who else was going from here

Ok I’m curious do you guys think we will even be able to find another place to camp? I think Davidson is gonna be packed and there’s one other that is open this time of year. I really don’t wanna get down there and have to sleep at Walmart lol. Btw just put an awning on tonight.

I'll be there Saturday only. Easy enough drive from home for me. If you see my X, you'll know it: Waaay too many lights on the front (winch) bumper.

I am actually coming to Asheville to do some hiking this weekend randomly. Not taking the X though.
