There's really no difference between these two part #s. One comes wrapped in plastic, and the "BOXED" version comes packaged in a cardboard box. Literally. Why Optima assigns them different P/N's, I have no idea. The unboxed version is more for retailers who want to display them on a shelf. If you order through Summit Racing, they're going to send you the boxed version for ease of shipping.

Is the only difference between the 34 and 35 the terminal location? I know there is a mod for the terminal locations, though if they make one with the right locations it would obviously be a better idea to purchase that. Is there a power difference? They both compatible though? Just curious because I might be able to get a hold of a 34 for quite a good price through a friend.

I think the 34 is slightly smaller than the 35 (i could be wrong). but they both should have the pos. and neg. terminals on the same sides. You would need to find one with a "R" at the end. Like 34R or 35R, which stands for reverse terminal.

I think that the 34 is actually a higher reserve capacity and larger battery than the 35. The problem is finding a 34R, which would have the proper terminal orientation.

The 35 should have the correct orientation, but I could be wrong.
