Finally got them finished and on today. Only thing left to do is find a way to paint the centercaps so that they at least somewhat match.
It all started with this photoshop picture I had my friend do. Then Walmart screwed up all my wheels while I was getting my Revos mounted. So I decided to buy another set of OR wheels and have them sandblasted and powdercoated charcoal gray to match the molding. It took me FOREVER to find a color that matched and was metallic, and I am now very happy with the choice. I had the stock tires put on these wheels to run in the summer only. The damaged wheels and Revos will go back on for the winter.

Without further babbling, here you go!

I'm not so sure that I like the white letters now. In the photoshop pic I did with blackwalls, I didn't really like it. No big deal. At the rate this thing wears out the outer edges of the tires, I'll have to get the tires flipped so the white letters are facing in in about a year anyway, so I'll get to see how I like that too.

I did photoshops with the wheels black and I didn't really like it with yellow. There isn't any black anywhere else on the vehicle, so it looked odd. But with a gray vehicle, black wheels look good.

Its a big guessing game with the powder. You look at the color chips in teh brochure. Then out of those, you order real color chips. Then they show up and they're not even close to what the brochure had. So you order more. Finally find one close, then its a little different when you shoot it than the sample was. Then you add clearcoat and it changes again. Pain in my butt!

I'm really happy with how they turned out, considering. I don't think it could have been much closer.

Now you need to get the Black Pearl emblems... You know the 'off road' and the nissan symbols for front and back that you can buy (they are expensive though). and you will be all black all around.

has anyone thought of doing that rather than going with the BLING BLING chrome look??
