I'm not sure what you are refering to, but it may be because you can get an XE with the 4 cylinder. My fronty is actually the most expensive 06 you could get. It just depends on what options you get, but I believe you could get an SE for about 14k less than mine. I'm not positive because I only looked at the LE with leather(which I think was approx. $1400).
