No Power to Starter, OBD will not Connect

505 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  beemer
While driving to Chicago I started noticing when we hit a bump the dash lights would flicker and the engine would die for a sec then go on fine, this happened several times. Then hit another bump and engine died, dash lights are on for 4wd, oil, ABS, VDC off, slip and the gas gauge goes up. However, car will not crank, if I turn key I notice the radio goes off. Also, can't push brakes down, not sure if that is connected. When I hook up my scanner it will not connect to the car either. Any advice on what to start checking? Thanks for any help in advance.

Bad connection at battery terminal and I would also check the fuse block on the positive battery cable as well.
