Hey I just got a black 2012 PRO-4X. I've been getting used to the car for about a month and I love it despite the poor mileage I'm getting around town (Myrtle Beach, SC). I've done some light off-roading and so far it's proven to be much more adept than my 05 Subaru Forester (still love that tough little car though!) I've been perusing this site and others for mods and accessories. So far I've switched out the dome and map lights for LEDs (awesome $15 on amazon), found some utili-track cleats on ebay (dealer??), and added a rear cargo net. I'm getting some weather tech floor liners and a raingler interior roof net soon. Far ahead in the future I'll add a hitch receiver (need a rack for my mountain bike) and do some stealth mods. Probably not going to get into serious off roading or rock crawling until I make a trip or move out west. Any suggestions on cheap mods or accessories? I love it but I really need to do some customization as I keep seeing identical xterras everywhere. Any advice?

Lose the mud flaps...free.
Stickers!...cheap fun. (Graveyard Graphics on here)
Tint the drivers/passengers windows to match (or as dark as SC allows) $40-60.
Bug/rock deflector (they really work) ~ $50 shop around.
Welcome to the fold...mine's a year old last mo., and I couldn't be happier with it.

Thanks! I read about the mud flaps. Definitely removing the OEM ones, probably going to get some soft ones though. Added tint to the list as well and I've already started with the stickers

as far as the bike rack goes, i have an interior bike rack that mounts to the untillitrack in the rear cargo area. i take off my front wheel and the bike clamps down with a fork mount and stands straight up. its very quick and easy to put the bike in and out, and its also safe in my locked truck when im not using it. you should do something like that IMO. I could even build you a custom bike rack like the one I built....

Stay away from the Halo projector lights. Cheap junk that falls apart if you off road the truck.
