Hey everybody. My name is John. I live in a little town in southeast Texas. I have recently acquired my X in a rather sad and unfortunate way. Last Friday (August 23, 2013), my mother passed away from a major heart attack. She was only 45 years old. This was very unexpected. I'm only 17 and never have I ever thought before that I would have to live without my mother this early in my life.

It is a 2006 Xterra that she bought a few years ago with only 67,000 miles on it and it was in near perfect condition. She loved it from the first time she saw it. It is still in pretty good condition. It's got its spots here and there from the paint cracking and pealing.

I don't know a whole lot about Xterras. I will be keeping it for as long as possible and taking care of it. I am a mechanically minded person, so I will be doing allot of work myself.

So sorry to read this, John. Man, 45 is WAY too young. Welcome to the fray,
hope you can find some comfort modding your X. I know she'll be looking at
your progress...and smiling.

Thanks for the welcome. I don't want to do allot of extreme mods to it. Just a small lift with some decent sized tires, upgrade the sound system, maybe some engine work, and exhaust. Maybe more, maybe less.

Sorry to hear about your Mom...losing a loved one is one of the hardest trials there is in life. Have fun with the X and remember your Mom fondly, everytime you slide behind the wheel.

Welcome from Washington!

My condolences. Tough loss. I have been there so I know the feeling. :( I am originally from Southeast Texas myself. Born in Pt. Arthur and raised in the big city of Orange.

Welcome. :hello2:
