Whats up guys? Hopefully I'll be putting on my new wheels along with some bfg a/ts tonight. I'm picking up my adapters on the way home from work and I'll take plenty of pictures. I'll hopefully have more up here by 8 tonight. :)

BTW.. I went wheeling on Sunday at Paragon for their monthly ride. The first time I went on level 3 (almost all reds for those that don't go there). The X took a real beating. The sliders got scratched to crap; the cross piece of the exhaust pipe got dented (wonder where my Shrock skids are?), and last but not least...the drivers side rear window got shatered when the X went up on a rock and hit a tree that was bent over. Oh and the tree also put a slight dent in the metal above it.
did you hit the "Undertaker?" I've seen a "STOCK" '87 bronco II go though that. he didnt care much about his truck. I really didnt like "Turtle Trail." Thats where i broke that t-case sensor.
MC, Sorry you messed up your hump.
I hope your wifey isn't too mad. :cyclopsani:

matrix12480, Undertaker doesn't sound familiar, however, Turtle is exactly the trail where my window got smashed.

I got hung up about 3 times, too. Very embaressing as the group was all Jeeps except for me. I don't know if others have found this, but there seems to be a lot of objects just over a hill. For example, the guide says on the CB to watch for the tree stump at the top of the hill. I come up the hill and "bam" on stuck on the tree stump. I never had a second to see it! I think the 'little Jeeps" have a better view as they're so much smaller. Just my opinion.

By the way. I'm sorry I took a left turn here; I guess we are way off-topic at this point.

Here ya go... I wonder if I had my new tires if I would have gotten stuck.

Sounds like you need a tc skid plate.
Got the spacers in today. I was worried a 6x4.5 to 6x5.5 would be to big in diameter. Wasn't even close. They fit perfect although I'll have to grind a real tiny portion off the tip of the X's studs so they'll fit perfectly flush. We're talking real tiny like a threads thickness. Now if the wheels would just show up.

Cool! Have a pic of it?
could someone post a pic of the bending metal back thing?

thx
Bump on Playboys post. I'd also like to see that in more detail.

Mjm4soccer, I'm not getting any rubbing with my 255/85/16s but I haven't taken it off-road yet. I'd rather bend and cut now before I find out that I need to the hard way.
I already used the heat gun as much as possible.

Can you show more detail on this section.:

Sorry to revive this thread, but I need to see this in detail pleeze pleeze pleeze!!!
those are some sweet rims! I am trying to find a crager rim dealer here in Canada, because we get killed on the shipping from the states.
I wanted to pick-up a set of these rims this weekend, but I want to put my 265/75/16's Mickey thompson on them, so I guess i wouldnt get any of that rubbing issue.
Yeah due to the size of the tires, you shouldn't have any issues. They are a little narrower and not as tall. The width of the wheel plus the spacer and then the additional width of the tire caused the rubbing.

So now with the aftermarket rim what happens to your tire pressure monitering system?

It depends on if you get the sensors installed in the new wheels or not. If you do, then everything should work fine. I have after market rims and did not install the pressure sensors on them. The only reprocussion (SP?) is that the little yellow light with the '!' is always lit up. But that doesnt bug me so no problemo.

Could you just pull the fuse to keep the light from burning out?
I love the Crager soft 8's, but I am worried about the spacers and there long term effect on the vehicle.
