What is wrong with it?

You didn't bring much to the table for your first post yourself. Pretty lame first post.

Do you own an Xterra? Want to buy an Xterra? Whats the deal?

As for the spambot challenge, they show up here all the time, so if it's a pain in the @ss, good, it should be. If there is actually something wrong with the spam filter then by all means, share it, but judging by the fact that you're here, I'd say it's working....to some extent anyway...

Thanks and that makes me feel even more welcome. The spambot questions felt more like a trial than a test of being sentient. Not knowing the horsepower rating of a 2005 XTerra , I assumed I was not worthy rather than not human but luckily by try three I was able to calculate the square root of 100 to two decimal places and here I am. Still perhaps not worthy, but then again I am a guitar player. The entrance exams for those forums have a lower bar.

both the Blazer and the X are stock. Not trying to pick fights, I will just go away if this is that kind of place. I just bough the Xterra as it seemed the most honest option available. I was a bit frustrated at the sign up procedure. I don't know the minutia of this vehicle but this seemed like a good place to learn more about it. I don't have much else to say.

It is the best place to learn about the Xterra, and really anything else Nissan you need to know! There are some really great minds on here!

You should look up SMOD, and do the radiator bypass so your truck doesn't self destruct on you.

I wasn't trying to ruffle any feathers with my comment about picking fights, just a friendly warning is all!

You aren't making this very easy here but.....Welcome from NV!

Finish filling your profile out and maybe start the whole intro over. If you don't know anything about your new X, just say you are trying to fix that. The search here is hit and miss but between that and google you can almost always find everything you wanted to know.:eek:ccasion5:

haha, welcome to the forum.
That is why I asked what the filter consisted of. I was genuinely curious what about it was so bad that in your first post on the forum you didn't mention anything about an Xterra, or anything at all really other than it sucked. I figured it had to suck pretty bad to generate that response. I don't remember what it was when I joined, but I think it was just a "enter the text above" thing. I agree that what you describe now sounds a bit "over the top"
Either way, you are correct in assuming that this is a good place to learn more about the Xterra. This forum has a lot to offer. Just remember, it's the internet, a thick skin and a sense of humor go a long way.

I am quite used to the internet forum mentality, as I mentioned I am a guitar player and spend most of my internet time on either guitar, backpacking, or hammock forums. At first, I thought the questions were a joke, but by the third iteration of esoteric Xterra trivia (first question, is it XTerra, or Xterra?) I was getting a bit frustrated. Like a fraternity hazing.

I am not a modder, as I mentioned I have probably the only totally unmodified 1972 Blazer on the continent. But I like the tips, tricks, and photos.

Thanks for the welcome in spite of my crusty entry.
