i looked at the D- shackles but i thought about the thickness of the material i used and decided not going that route. the metal would be too weak and even if i added the d-shackles for looks i would be tempted to use them.S_e_X-Terra said:Hmm, i cant decide whether i like it or not?!?! Definitely a good idea... but something just doesnt seem right. i guess i just need to see it with the side steps on.
Oh i know... You need some 'D' shackel mounts!!
That is what i wanted. One of a kind. it might not be the best for offroad use but i can still throw a d-shackle in the hitch. speaking of which, where did you get yours MC?USMC XTERRA said:It sure looks like it was a lot of work you can be proud of the DIY one of a kind for sure. Stainless is good. You can plug a D shackle into the hitch and that will work. I like the way the plate sits in all recessed as well as the lights, although I am undecided on the lights. One thing is for sure, If I see you, I will know it's you! MC
