Hello All!

I've been reading this site for some time now, but have been too lazy to sign up for an account. (like it takes long) I've had my Xterra since March and I love the damn thing, quite the improvement from my 93 Ford Tempo (Seafoam Green, YA BABY!). This is my first new vehicle, complete with the new car smell that isn't in the form of a blue pine tree. Now I just need to start modding my X and hit some trails....

I'll have to post some pics of my ride, if I ever get around to taking them off of my camera. (On there since March)

Ok, pictures uploaded on photobucket...now I can post my story.

So I get my Xterra March 19th...Six hours later I'm hit. Go figure. I was so pissed, some stupid hippy in a Subaru wasn't paying attention and driving on the wrong side of the road. Luckily for me, it was low speed in a parking lot. But not low enough to cause no damage:

My vehicle didn't suffer the worst of the hit. He (Being in a lower vehicle than mine) suffered massive damage to the headlights, hood, bumper, pride and racked up $5000 in damage. Guess that'll teach him to mess with an X. So being over 80% at fault, this guy doesn't think he has to pay me for my deductable (those in Michigan are probably familliar with the Mini-Tort law). After having to go to small claims court to get my money, I finally...FINALLY get it two months ago. After reading some great reviews and seeing some awesome pics of the Shrock bumper, I decide, what the hell...the insurance will pay for half anyway thanks to my deductable. So I get my bumper fixed....

No more cracked bumper. Thanks Shrockworks!

Michigan's no fault law is you can sue them for no more than $500 bucks if they are more than 50% at fault. Its lame, but since insurance is required, kinda nice because thats usually the cost of a deductible.

I am not sure about PA. It was back in 1998 when I was hit, I was in college and to stupid to realize I could get my $500 back.

During the 8 week wait, I had some serious doubts about getting the bumper (you know, could use the money for bills and whatnot). Then after I got it installed, I love it. I'm definately glad its on there now.

It even makes my base model look sweet.
