Hi all! Had my 08 6MT for a little over a year now and just got around to joining the forum. Already have some suspension upgrades and sliders done, but looking forward to seeing what other small upgrades I can do. Excuse the dirty wheels, they’re new and it’s snowing haha

How difficult is it to offroad a manual?
It’s nowhere near as difficult people make it out to be. If you’re in low range and have the proper axle gearing you can dump the clutch and not stall on flat ground, or just slip the clutch as you would normally if you’re on an incline. There’s certainly a reason rock crawlers usually run manuals

Already deleted those mudflaps, somebody did their reading or knew more than I did. I live pretty close to Moab, first camping trip in my 06 6mt was there. Every five minutes my girl thought the truck was being torn in half like Herbie the love bug.

Hah, actually mine was on 285s when I bought it. Previous owner did the melt mod and mud flap removal when he had it so I’ve never even had to worry about it. Texas doesn’t care at all if you have them or not so why not ¯\(ツ)
