Hello fello Xterra owners. I have a 2008 Xterra my wife and I purchased in May of 2013 that had 96,000 miles on it. It's all stock except for the Liquidmetal, 20 inch rims, and 285/50/20 tires. I joined this sight to learn more about these vehicles. I enjoy doing preventive maintenance on my vehicles myself if I can. It's my everyday driver @ 15 miles per day on average. I also use the X to go hunting ( light off road driving) and fishing. I really like the vehicle and it's roomy interior.(had a TJ jeep wrangler before this). I haven't had any trouble yet, but I an keeping an "eye" out on the Radiator/transmission leaking together issues I keep reading about. I did the rad by-pass, but haven't added an auxilary cooler yet. It's been cool here in Pa., and I keep feeling the trans cooler for excess heat. It seems when I get to work or back home, It's warm on the top and cool/ cold on the bottom of the transmission cooler. When I did the by-pass six days ago, the rad/trans problem wasn't happening. But it scares me to think that it could, because we don't have a warranty on the X. Looking forward to learning from you Xterra owners on all types of things pertaining to the Xterra.:salute:
