i have to say, i love this truck. i bought as my second car for winter driving… sports cars and boston winters are a bad mix. i had a 2004 liberty that work fine, although it was heavy and could not get out of its own way. the X was an impulse buy, didn't do a ton of research, just knew i wanted a manual transmission truck… so it was either the xterra, FJ, or a wrangler… the xterra seemed to give the best bang for the buck… I've had it for three weeks now and am really enjoying it… six inches of snow yesterday… the truck was a beast!.
the only downside i see so far is that i cannot stop buying accessory for it!!!!!

Welcome!! Check out everyone's build threads to get some good ideas on some affordable mods (as we all ready discussed the IMS) but a few I personally love for both preventative maintenance and preference are the 16" Rear Wiper Blade mod, the Extended Rear Hatch Struts mod, rear diff breather mod and anything with plasti-dip or bed-liner:)

BTW what kind of sports car?

Whereabouts in Boston? I'm in JP next to Sam Adams. We have a few guys in/around town, mostly clustered on the South Shore and west of Boston out to Newton.

Join up on NEXTerra.org (Northeast Xterra Club) for local wheeling and meetups! Our next run is January 11th down in Sturbridge, and if it snows hard on a Friday we'll probably be wheeling in Taunton that weekend. I'm also trying to put together another welding workshop at my shop in JP.
