I am in the market for a radar detector.I have a tendency to have a lead foot so this seems like a wise investment.I've done a lot of research online and reading bout the different units and different bands.Just posting here looking for what you guys run and your opinions.I'd value these more then reviews u read online that could be written by anyone. Thanks

really, you need to look from your budget stand point. if there is no limit, valentine one is arguebly the best one on the market. this is not something to get cheep on though. i dropped 145 for my top model cobra. i love it. but i stongly suggest the V1. they'll even pay for your first speeding ticket. .
best of luck

doesnt Valentine pay your speeding ticket if you get caught? i dont know about that... i have an escort wireless ($250) and cobra ($190) and really cant tell the difference between them. they seem to go off on every street in my area... its annoying sometimes. ive been caught on the freeway twice with the cobra, so now i just have it in my X for decoration. i dont pay attention to it anymore
