I did 2 inch camlini spacers up front and shackles in the rear through my dealer. (they warranty it)

I'm happy with it for now, but in retrospect I paid way too much for it (mostly for the labor which I could have done myself) and I'm finding now that I want to go bigger (like 4 inches).

As far as that type of lift goes. I didn't really notice any change in the ride or handling.

If you have any wrenching experiance you should be able to install any of the non 5" lifts out there.

If you are just looking for a spacer lift, Daystar (what MC has), Calmini and PRG all have them. There are also a few other companies and you can find front spacers on ebay even.

Someone had a great deal on the Calmini from spacers here in the swap meet section. I don't know if they are gone yet or not.

I like steel spacers better than aluminum spacers.

With our rear leafs, I like AAL better than shackle lifts (I currently run both).

But, if you want to do it once and do it right, I would go with the TC UPC, RadFlo Coilovers and Alcan rear spring pack with the Bilstein shocks that PRG sells and the AC stainless extended brake lines. That setup would run you about $2000 but it would be complete and give you some high qaulity parts.

Total Chaos Upper Control Arms: $550 ( http://www.prgproducts.com/frontier_components.php )
RadFlo Coilover Front Shocks: $700 ( http://www.prgproducts.com/frontier_shocks.php )
Bilstein 5125 Rear Shocks: $190 ( http://www.prgproducts.com/frontier_shocks.php )
AC Stainless Brake Lines (rear): $70 ( http://www.4x4parts.com/public_html...2&ps_session=d5c80312b6822627a1d712bb1d60faa8 )
Alcan Rear Spring Pack: $500 ( http://www.alcanspring.com/ )

mcampana,
I have to agree with Muzikman, if you have the money to spend, that's the best way to go and what I wish i would have done from the start. Out the door at the dealer I was at a little over 500.00, when I could have just done it myself for about 230.00
Oh well, I have an annual raise coming up in three months...... :compress:

Well coming from me this might help you out. Body lifts do have advantages, in some cases. Usually you would get a body lift so you could fit larger tires on a vehicle. Unfortunately for our case a body lift doesnt help anything. For the new gen X's if you put a body lift on you wont be able to fit any larger tires than if you left it stock. A suspension lift raises the undercarage of the vehicle so you can clear objects better.

Okay now that we have that out of the way... you obviously dont want to spend the jack on a top notch suspension lift. So my reccomendation would be to go with a spacer in front and either an AAL or Shackle in the rear. You will get all of the function of a suspension lift with the cost of a body lift.

My two pennies!!

Thanks sextera. Your right, at this point i just bought everything Jim has to sell at shrock works. And i still have some other odds and ends i need. I didnt want to drop another 2k . Maybe down the road, but not now. USMC seems to be able to go anywhere he wants with his set up so far....i may follow his lead.
