Okay.. My Lic plate lights are out.. Was informed of it.
did a fast peek at it. How the heck you change it.. did not see any screw to undo or pop.
does one have to drop the Spare tire?
book was worthless. shows headlights only.
did some surfing, did not locate how too.. Or over shot it..
ideas?.
thx
chug. one who is running in dark stealth mode.. :)

UPDATE:

One has to Crawl half under the truck, grab the light from the Backside. Clockwise twist & should pop out.
Grab light & unplug. Sort a pain to get too.

will buy light tonight, & plug. in. Why they both Popped?? Unknown.. Had issues with Bad trailer lights. Will plug & Play.. and see what happens.

had to update.. just in case.

I was able to get the lamps off of the bumper without going under the vehicle. They are simply snapped into the metal. Using a thin piece of metal (I used a small metal ruler) slide it under the edge of the lamp closest to the center line of the vehicle. Push gently and you can disengage the clip and pull the lamp off.

Sorry I didn't take any pictures but I hope this helps.

Google is an amazing thing. Always brings me back to this site. well this thread has now been revived and I now know what it takes to change these lights where i got a ticket the other night during a safety check point in Arlington Heights, IL......

Anyone know what size/type of light this is?

edit:

Nevermind. Googled again and located it.

Its probably self grounded. So that single black wire should be connected to positive power. Use a test light or a multi meter first just to double check... but that's the only thing that makes sense.

^^^ Would have been nice if that Cube driving Engineer could have added that info to the manual.
Mentioned the trick to another X owner. Who asked me about the Lic plate light, & head lights. Told of the easy fix as with the NewX site. Bonus To check for the Heroin baggie? and did he know of the second glove box?. ( He did, 8 year old found for him haha ).

I must have used quality Made Lights, They still work.

Replaced Head lights bulbs I think on my 3set. Wipers, 2 every 6 months. Dam rain!.

I was ready to drop the spare tire to get in behind when I did one last search of this site and this thread popped up. Thank you. A small screwdriver between the metal and plastic on the outside is all I needed.
