Geee where are all our hotshots that nothing gets by?
http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/Bulletins/Nissan/2006/NTB06-056.htm

And, my dealer e mails me and said I must have missed the fact that there is some type of TSB that gives me a new set of brakes all the way around. (05 builds) LOL I just hit 20K so that's a welcome thought, he ordered the parts and put em on next week.

Come on you guys! I'm counting on you to be up to snuff on all this!

The whole list, the brake TSB is there also. And so is the open Driver air bag circut. Remember that guy complaining his air bag did not deploy? Looks like he had a valid concern, now I feel like crap because we were busting on him a little. MC

May just have the dealer put in my synthetic for me.

Well I just finished checking this out and I have more then enough clearance 15mm and there are no signs of any banging or clunking.

Note: If you have full skids you will need to remove the front diff skid and tranni skid.

Yea my dealer said he had to order parts so call ahead. He's always trying to one up me as I him on Xterra news and info. He got me on this one! LOL but that's ok. (That's where the letting me down comment comes from) We graduated same high school, so we jack with each other.

Anyways, I feel good I finally helped some people out, gave ya a cool link and maybe solve some problems in future, FAV that link!

He only got me, you'll notice because I was at ECXC when that notice came out.

Best site on the net for X's Dan!

I've got a call into my dealership about the brakes because I JUST bought some.

They are going to do some looking around and we are going to figure out how I can get my money back.

My X is an 05, but when I go into the dealer they tell me it is an 06 because of my VIN # and it has a late july build date. It really pisses me off.

Well Kokopop, that could be a selling point, there is a digit in serial No. that determines year, if yours is 6 they are right. I've seen the serial no explanation somewhere. Mine was built about the same time. But they say it's an 05.

New brakes for free at 20K! Yipppeeee! even after towing about 5K of that! Yipppeee!

I was actually wanting a set of ceramic pads, but no one lists them yet.
Ceramic saves rotors and stops a lot better and way less dust!

 --Well I've got the web that shows the entire VIN No. , but I can't figure how to get from the "home" the the VIN page

---you might try Courtest Parts.com , thats the WEB

--the year of mfg is the 10th digit

--ie: 5 ('05) 6 ('06)

I had this clearance issue prior to all my mods. The techs could never figure it out but once I started modding the susp. it all went away.
