Comments:

After owning my 2001 Xterra for 2 years and pouring lots of money into it, I decided to purchase a new Xterra. The search seemed to end before it even started after seeing a Lava Red Pro-4x at my local dealer, but it was a automatic.
After tracking down another dealer 45 mins away with a Lava red that they claimed was manual only to find out it was automatic as well, I traveled another hour away to find my night armor Pro-4x manual on fourth of July. Proceeds from my 2001 will be used for mods on my new rig. much fun to come.

They are cheap ones off ebay, xentec. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=270950198976 They were $35 and plug and play to the 9005 bulbs. I wanted to compare the output and pattern to my roommates stock lights. I will have to try and get comparison shot but I can tell you they are by far the best and cheapest mod you can do for great light in the stock off road lights. I'm planning on upgrading my headlights with a retrofit I saw here as well.

Yep, I saw a write up someone else did on here but its real easy. Just remove the stock bulbs, insert the 9005 hid bulbs, plug the ballast to the hid bulb and plug the stock wires that went to the halogen bulb into the ballast. I secured the ballast to the gray support that goes across the air dam with double sided tape that came with the kit and zipties for insurance.

just picked mine up saturday. it was between bright silver or night armor.
