I don't think it looks terrible from behind. You can make anything work off road with the right amount of money.

At the Seattle auto show in mid November I saw the Kia that is behind that one in the photo in the article. It was actually pretty cool... It had custom everything - front/rear bumper, roof rack, control arms, etc. It was all independent suspension though. However if it had a rear-tire carrier I could totally see myself driving it.

Also it was "metallic green" ;)

Saw that at the Seattle car show as well. Looks interesting. Staff at the booth didn't know anything at all about it. Drivetrain, suspension, etc. Clueless.

I guess Kaddis of Japan is making body kits and off road accessories for the Mazda CX5.

The Mazda 13:1 compression Skyactive engine has some get and go. Handles great in snow too.
Get a kick out of harping on my wife's 2016 GT every now and then. Little sucker scoots!
