So I am wondering if I should install the KC's with the rubber shock mount. If I do it will require drilling the hole out to 1".

I could use just the top rubber mount and install with out the big rubber piece.

Or I could install just the chrome cap with the rubber piece on the lower side of the bumper.

I was just looking for some opinions on what to do or what other people have done. Thank you to all that help.

I agree with the 1" hole being a bit big, But its really only for the rubber to go into. I guess it works as a shock absorber. I like changing it out to a flat washer. Less work involved.
If I do drill it out, any light iput in there will have a rubber shock. I think I'll go with the flat washer and see what happens.

Well I finally got it done. I went with the option of not drilling, but cutting the bump off the grommets.
Everything went very smooth. Used the KC switch in on of the blank spots near the mirror controls. Switch popped right in. Used a relay and screwed that into the firewall right next to the airhorn relay. Aimed them and what a difference at night. Now I just need roof lights..

You do have to trim a piece off your old plastic bumper or better yet make your own bracket ala MC. Check his post in the how tos (I think)

Looks good.

Jim do you leave your shackles on all the time? I only put mine on for wheelin' and they are wearing the powder coat down.

If you do my rubber washers on the shackles mod, they stay put don't move unless you move them and don't wear anything. I posted it with the bumper install I think? Anyhow, you put a rubber washer between the shackles and the bumper at 2 points and it makes it so it don't rattle. I hear you can get rubber washers at Plumbing store. I used glad hand washers from Air lines on trucks as they are laying on the ground free where I work. I have also used them to quiet skid plates, secure hi lift, take up slack in Hitch pin, and many other uses.
