Proud new owner of a 2011 Pro4X! Well, it is actually my wife's new ride but my weekend toy. We have a second kid on the way and needed a bigger vehicle. Wanted a new 4runner, but I didn't want to spend $40k on a vehicle. Started researching pre-owned SUVs which led me to the Xterra and this sight. I spent many hours on this sight before deciding to buy an Xterra. My wife prefers the smaller size of the Xterra to other trucks that I was looking at (H3, LX470).

Anyways, since this will be the family truckster for a number of years, I probably won't do a lot of modifications for awhile (with the exception of removing the step bars). Eventually, it will become a toy though and I'll be able to do with it what I want.

Welcome Frank! When you remove the step bars, go ahead and pull the mud flaps too - they're just gonna get torn off first time you go wheeling, anyway :D

Welcome! I also regularly take three kids around in the X. Do you have your car seat situation figured out?
