So here's a problem...

I've been thinking about a minor supsension upgrade and some new shoes for my X, but I'm in Gaithersburg, MD. (DC metro). I'm having trouble finding a place that does this type of installation, and I don't really have a place or the tools to do it myself. What do I do, short of going to the stealership?

If I were to buy the upgraded Bilstiens, and brought them to one of the chain shock places, would they do this for me? I'm also getting the 265 75 BFG AT's, and getting that done at a place that does tire balance and rotation, it would be nice to get some one-stop shopping though.

Any shop that installs stocks can rotate and balance tires.

Where are you going for the tires? Any Firestone, Mr Tires, Tiresplus should be able to handle a shock install while you're getting the new tires I would think.
I was going to Mr. Tires, maybe I can order the Bilstiens there too. Thanks!

unless you have personally dealt with a Mr. Tire store already i would suggest looking elsewhere.....the two i've been to (in Maryland) the technicians were lazy and actually caused more problems then they fixed, thus resulting in their corporate company paying me back a several hundred dollars for two very small cheap fixes.

I saw Trick Trucks, and I thought to myself it must be a "pimp my ride" type place...thanks for the heads up!

That sounds about right! The most off-roading their trucks see is the occasional curb at wal-mart, oh and lets not forget when they go hard core off roading, boldly parking on their front lawns!
