How do you print a thread?

I searched but didn't come up with anything. I may be ignorant but I would like to print off some of the more applicable threads. When I've tried I end up with text, pictures, blank space on different pages. Is there a way to make the thread "printer friendly"? I've seen this feature on other message boards.
