i thought the X was 265 hp? just checked the nissan site and it lists the 07s as 261 hp.......... was there a drop from the previous model?

I think it changed do to how they rate the HP.

It's the same engine and everything but the standard changed.

Or at least that is what I read on here. I also read on here that Toyota had worse drops because their ratings were way off.

Not a real drop. They have just changed the method by which they measure it. They now use the SAEJ1349 testing methodology, I don't know what they previously used. I don't think the engine now has reduced output.
