I was lurking around on the Frontier site and saw this. I haven't
had the time to go out and look at the X's hood and fender to see
if this setup will work. It's not even an entirely necessary mod, but
it's relatively cheap and seems interesting.

Just throwing it out there. It appealed to me b/c I've been working on the
front of the car and engine often in the past week installing some stuff, each
time having to open up the hood. And more than once, the thought of a
hood with struts popped into my head. Maybe I'm just lazy. Who knows...

I actually think its a great idea. every car that i have had in the past had a hood that would stay up as soon as you opened it. Now I have to place that little bar to keep it up. It doesnt seem like that big of a deal to people that are used to it, but if you arent used to it, it gets really aggrivating.

holy 3 year old thread revival batman! i do like the mod though....should have done it on day one.
