Hi all. I recently bought an '06 Off Road X. I have a long history with Nissans but this is my first 4WD. Looking forward to getting started modding (as time and money allows).

Welcome fellow Mi X'er!
Welcome.
Hummm lets see, free Mods, Remove mud flaps, rear stabilizer bar, silencers out of the air box, remove the factory step rails if equipped. And ask Dan for a thenewx.org high HP decal for your window and discover your second glove box! LOL :) MC
Welcome :wav:
Welcome to the club. So do you actually work for Nissan?

Thanks. Yes, I do work for Nissan. I'm an engineer at their North American Tech Center. But I was also a Nissan enthusiast before I got the job. :thumbleft:

Maybe you could explain a little bit what that job entails?

Also, maybe make it clear whether or not you want to hear people's "gripes about the X". If you are here because you are a person who owns an X, then we shouldn't treat you differently just because you "work on the mother ship" :)

For example, when I get my customer survey for my 2006 X OR, I'm going to return it with a letter about some 'design issues' with the X. If you want, I can let you know my list of issues ;-)

I'm just here as a guy who owns an X not an official spokeperson. I actually don't have too much to do with the X in my daily job. Most of my work deals with the full-size Titan/Armada/QX56 platform. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert or anything. I'm sure there are plenty of people on this board who know a lot more about the X than I do. :dontknow:
I have a friend from highschool that works as an engineer for Nissan in Detroit. His name is Ron Senakavich (sp?) I never could spell his name! You probably don't know him, but it was worth a shot!

Actually I do know him. I've worked with him on a couple projects. Small world...
:pirate: Ahoy, Matey! :newb: Welcome! Yer on a site dedicated to Nissan's, "Next Generation Xterra." Step aboard, take in what you can, but promise to share what you learn!
Sweet. Maybe you can help us out now that we have some "pull." Could you maybe beat it into their heads up there that we are strong in numbers all over the states and want more aftermarket support then what we have. Ask them to give the major suspension companies an Xterra for a dollar and let them go to town on it. That's the only way we are going to be able to get anything. Look at Jeep and the FJ. That's how they get stuff built and out before or right after that particular model comes out.
From one newb to another, welcome 'motor city x'!

Is that your Z in your avatar?
It's not mine but that is me driving. The tech center has an SCCA racing team that I'm a part of. We run a pair of 350z's in T2 regional competition. It's my first season driving but I ended up tied for 3rd place in the Central Division.
