Heat Always On

Headed out for dinner and it appears my X on blows hot air. Compressor cycles but when I twist the adjustment knob there is no noise from in the dash to switch between hot and cold air. Leading up to this there was no clicks at all and no noises, it just stopped. Odds of it being the control panel over the blend door actuator?

Well it was the air blend door motor. It honestly wasn’t tooo bad to get to considering. You just need to remove the entire dash cover. I’d say it’s a 6 beer job.

I hope this isn't foreshadowing the repair needed for my heater being intermittent. Mine also includes an odd behavior where the A/C compressor intermittently only turns when I rev in neutral 1600 to 1800 RPM when Idling

I don’t think your issue will be the same. My compressor was operating normal. The issue was that the blend door was stuck on full heat so no matter what temp I told it, it was blowing full blast heat.
