Has anyone dropped their headliner to work on anything? If so, is it a PITA, or pretty straight forward? I have the sunglass holder/bluetooth overhead console to install and had to get the proper bracket for it. From what I see I will have to remove the headliner to install the bracket. No biggie, but just wondering if there are any surprises in store for me when I remove the headliner.

I'm sure folks have removed the headliner for various reasons, but to install the sunglass holder? I don't think it is necessary, and would advise against it.

The headliner is very flimsy and will buckle under its own weight.

Please check out these threads for information about sunglass holder installation:

These results were fold by "Googling" "sunglass holder install site:www.thenewx.org"

or our own Search function can be helpful as well.

@xknut.....I did read that one. I searched everything on the forum before posting my question. That write-up does not match up with my situation. Unfortunately, I looked up in the area after removing my map lights and it has the completely wrong bracket in it. I have the proper bracket to put in the overhead unit for the 2013 Pro-4X and there is no doubt from what i see that it has to be installed to put in the overhead unit that has the sunglass holder and Bluetooth system. The bracket that is in there now will not work for the new one, as far as I can tell.
