Hey guys, im 16 and im currently driving a 06 xterra, ive noticed theres a grinding noise coming from the rear passenger side tire. Its really noticeable when braking and starting from a stop. I kinda suspect wheel bearing or brakes. Its at 180k miles if that helps. If anybody can give some insight on this it would help alot. Thanks yall

Yeah thats what we just did, they were done but 80 bucks later we good thanks for your help
Did that turn out to solve the problem? BTW, if you buy Autozone brake pads, when they wear out you just take them back up there and they give you a new set. Free. No joke. I've been doing this for 30 years. I bought one set for my Xterra at 60,000 miles (I'm now at 261,000) and have not paid for a set of pads since then.

How worn were the rotors? Were they grooved at all?

When I replace brake parts I replace rotors and pads at the same time. I keep the rotors and have a local machine shop turn them to get rid of grooves and ridges.
