Anyone in the area know if Flagpole Knob trail is currently passable/safe?

I'm going to be in the area this weekend (March 10th and 11th). Trying to decide whether to drive my Xterra and hope the forest roads are passable, or drive my Mazda Miata and hope the paved roads are in decent shape.

Ok. There were some photos of it with snow on the ground. Not coated but kinda frosted. I haven't been up that way in months though to know myself.

I decided to go for it. Drove up towards Flagpole Knob on Saturday (March 9th). It was mostly snow covered, a bit icy and very beautiful. It was only myself and 1 passenger and no other vehicles, so I decided not to drive all the way in. I felt like there was some potential for trouble and didn't want to push my luck. But even so, it was an absolute blast. I wish I had a second vehicle with me so we could have made a run for the top. It was also my lady friends first "off road adventure" and she was totally tickled!
