The sole reason I moved out of Hawaii, was to get an assignment that has seasonal weather. BUT, I got North Carolina, not a huge fan so far...
but anyways, I got to use my ice scrapper for the first time this morning. I had about 1/2 inch of ice all over my X, I scrapped enough ice of my windshield to make an ice ball and throw it at a friend of mine.

Now if I could only get some snow then it might make up for the Air Force sending me here from Hawaii.

Unfortunately you have a slim chance of snow or at least any significant snow at fort bragg.
Yeah well this is a step up for me, for the past several years I've been either in Southern California, Hawaii, Middle East or Mississippi. So this weather is definetly a change of pace for me.
Lets see,

around 6 feet of snow in the last few weeks, lots of wind (closed the highway from Golden to Boulder all last night) huge drifts in the back yard and continuing to build across the drive every time I shovel...an Island in the pacific don't be sounding too bad right about now...
Well I went nuts since I had a constant 82-86 degree weather there with 75-82% humidity for over 3 years. I wanted something new, I wanted to be able to use the HEATER in my vehicle.
Hawaii is definetely better to visit then to live

Run around Smoke Bomb Hill in a drizzling rain and you can pretend it is snowing!
snowing here, but we are only getting a dusting.

What a minute. Doesn't that volcano on the Big Island get snow? Plus I know it was damn cold the last time I was up on Halaeeka(sic).

I was on Oahu, that's where the majority of the active duty military (98.1%) gets stationed. We had no active volcanoes and no snow.
I was at Pearl Harbor with 4th Force Recon, I also owned a Photography studio and won the base Photo contract. Wonderful models knocking down my door, long nights shooting, dinning and don't tell! Steady weather (Besides the hurricane) everyone envied me.

But what you said about nice place to visit I would not want to live there.... I could not agree more. At the time, they kinda disliked white people (We took their land and put cement down) Lots of Drugs so people on them. Not that great of a place to own a car. Claustrophobic.
in 78 Milk was $2 a gallon, My rent for a house was $750, auto expenses were through the roof, Hot chicks and Red Lion Pizza were like the only real good things, well, the scenery and driving a 280 Z as fast as you can through the mountains and tunnels.

Total time on the island, about 3 years had to get a break and go back to the states a few times. Then the place drove me stir crazy and I just sold it all and left. Never went back. If I did, 2 weeks max!

It seems so appealing from afar. Landed back in four season, well this year 3 season Ohio.

Now Guam I can do.

Funny you should mention having to scrape ice, I was doing that myself on my wife's car this morning IN SAN DIEGO.
We've had 21f temps in the morning in the SF Bay Area. Global warming huh? :compress:
You guys in the Bay area are getting freezing weather, Miami and Las Vegas are getting snow. Reno has had 2 snow storms and a total of 2" of snow on the ground. WTF!!! I'm dying to go play in the snow and Mother Nature is F'ing with me. I think its something personal... :blackeye:

I couldn't agree more, I thought that they get snow on the east coast, I am sorely mistaken.

:angry5:
^^ There's not nearly enough snow in Tahoe right now. :angry1:
I WANT SNOW,
We had one day of freakin ICE and nothing, yesterday ICE today SUNSHINE!!!!
82 -86 degree weather sounds like heaven to me. But everyone has there own idea of perfect.

If it wasn't so pricey to live there we would have already moved in a second.
