After waiting nearly 21 weeks for my Nisstec MKII 3" extended travel kit, the coilovers FINALLY came in. Was told that the rear shocks will take at least a few more weeks....
Once I got the MKIIs in, I immediately got to work on taking out my Fox 2.0s. Here's a side-by-side comparison:
Took a bit of finagling (had to separate outer tie rods and upper control arms from the knuckle), but was able to finish in a few hours. Here's how they look after installation:
I must say, the front rides smooth as butter now. Not sure if it's the valving or the beefier 600# springs (from 400# on the Fox 2.0s) to account for my armor, but I'm loving the ride so far. After driving around for a little, I probably could've even gone for 650# or even 700# springs. Will update this post once I get the extended travel rear shocks in.
