My 2010 Nissan Xterra SE(automatic) has 185000 miles and I found myself on the side of the road for the first time.
The alternator went bad. It's been replaced but ever since (1week) I've noticed that when driving around town it feels as if the transmission is shifting quicker through gears. It seems like I get into 4th gear when I'm just over 40 mph, and then it quickly jumps up a gear and the rpm drops to 1000.
I haven't noticed any rough shifting, lurching, bad smells or sound when driving and shifting gears.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Could I just be paranoid and never noticed this before ?
*OD has remained on and I am not hauling anything
Thanks for the help!
