Interesting.. I may have to call the dealer to find out for sure.

My X was obviously pre-owned, but did not come to me with step rails, cross bars, fogs or roof basket, which I believe were standard on the S model.

It does have the S model radio, 16" 5 spoke alloys, plastic side moldings and exposed cargo rails, which are all things I've read S models had that X models didn't.

Are there any other super easy identifiers, like a dead pedal or 8, 10 way driver seat adjustment? As an aside, I'm glad I don't have a dead pedal cuz I can fully stretch my legs out a long trip. underrated!!

Hi! Do you guys think that it’s possible to put the RF from the 2013 into a 2006 xterra off-road? I currently have the original RF, I like the stock look, but want the aux capability. I have come into the newer RF for cheap and figure I’d give it a try. Would I be able to take the faceplate off of my old one and put it on the newer one?

Cargo area carpet was a paid add on, you're probably thinking of how on the X models they covered the tie down slots with plastic and didn't include any tie down hooks.
I've only heard of carpet in the cargo area on X models, but what I've heard and $7 will get you a cup of Starbucks.

I should have added "for my year" with how Nissan changes trim levels around so much.

I have the 2013 pro 4x. the nis32 doesn't fit as it's a 32 pin connector and there is only a 20 and 24 pin connector. there is a nis24 but it doesn't work. been looking for wiring diagrams for the 24 pin camera, mic, steering control harness but finding useful information isn't easy
Any ideas?

Hey guys, I need help. I’ve tried searching with no luck so I’m hoping someone can answer this for me. I have an 06 SE with the Rockford fosgate stereo. I’m trying to install a Kenwood aftermarket stereo and I have the NN07B adapter harness recommended in this thread. The problem is there is no sub woofer RCA jack on the harness. I know the truck has the sub but can’t figure out how to connect it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Randy, if you have a radio shack or similar store near, you should be able to find a male/female rca that will unscrew and you and then insert the wire end and screw back together and attach to sub. This is an example:

So despite the fact that I've now bought 2 adapter harnesses so I don't have to tear my wiring apart, I still have to tear my wiring apart. What a god damn waste.

I want to do something like this with an Android Head unit. Knowing the parts needed is great. But is there a how to for merging the two harnesses of the factory unit to get it to work?

Here is a final parts list for my Pioneer AVIC-8201NEX head unit. I managed to preserve all OEM connections (GPS, SiriusXM Antenna, backup camera, console USB/Aux interfaces), and I also to added another USB interface to take advantage of the second port on the head unit.

Nissan Connect navigation system (Bosch LCN2) with external Rockford Fosgate amplifier
P/N: 25915-9FM0B
Connectors: 20-pin and 24-pin connector for microphone, camera, steering controls, etc.
Aftermarket replacement:
Metra 70-7553 or or Scosche NN05B main harness
Metra 40-NI12 antenna adapter
Metra 99-7619 or 95-7619 dash kit
AX-NIS32SWC steering wheel controls and camera retention adapter
AX-NISUSB-2 or Scosche NNUSB02B USB retention adapter
<<

Both of the suggested main harness options have RCA speaker outputs. The OEM Rockford Fosgate amp and harness don't have RCA inputs so I'm concerned about coax-level signal that this setup would run through stranded copper wires.

RCA output from an aftermarket stereo is preamp level 2V output. It is not known exactly what the factory radio is outputting to the factory alp but many here have used preamp output to factory amp input with no issues with volume.
