Ok so I searched and came accross the information for the belt squeal issue, but from what I've heard of belts squealing, this is a different noise.

There is a noticeable high pitched whine from the engine, almost like a quieter version of the noise you get when its time to replace the brakes. Any ideas? It is somewhat RPM related, so maybe it is something to do with the tensioner pulley/belt squeal TSB...

Thanks in advance!

Do you wheel? Have you been in any deep mud puddles? If so, it might be your alternator. It makes odd noises when the bearings go.

yea its gone off road a number of times, but probably not in 5 months or so as Ohio doesnt offer much in terms of off asphalt enjoyment. I kind've thought it could be a bearing of some sort or another...
