Grateful for the driveline shop on Long Island hooking it up for me! Brand new rear driveshaft with 2 Ujoints, no more CV joint. I didn’t go with the double cardan because of my angles not being too far off. If I lift my X higher than maybe I’ll upgrade to a double cardan. GOODBYE VIBRATIONS!

you can still have vibrations depending on lift. This is not a dual cardan shaft.
Well let’s hope not!

it’s a mild lift so the angle shouldn’t be horrible. You recommend a dual cardan shaft? If I still get vibrations I’ll get a double cardan attached.

Driveshafts are not my expertise but I’m pretty sure you can’t just add a double cardan. A new shaft will have to be fabricated due to the length of the double cardan. I may very well be wrong here though.

You’re absolutely right my friend, I’ll get a new shaft with a double cardan. If I add more lift to my X then I’ll consider it. I should be ok with the 2 Ujoints. The dude at the driveline shop was very helpful with that

How much did this cost? I saw another post mentioning driveshafts and looked it up...$400. That's more than I could pay for a part that's not broken.
Came to 595 after taxes.. the constant vibration can end up destroying seals in the transfer case and more.. upgrading can save you extra costs down the road.

Do you still have vibration with 2 ujoints that's why you went with this?
Yea they actually got worse. Originally I just had a vibration at 20-30mph. When I went to the two Ujoints, I had vibes from 20mph to 60mph. So I put my old shaft back on and brought it to the shop for the cardan upgrade. The angle at the transfer case is the cause. The cardan should take of that.

Oh no! I'm having vibrations too, tried 4 degree shim and got better(not eliminated) but now hearing whining at the rear diff. Hope this one works for you.

Ugh maybe time for a rebuild? Yea the shims help but I think the area of focus should be the transfer case. The angle at my diff was real good. It was out of wack at my transfer case. Do you constantly hear a whine or when you let off the pedal? How many miles are on your differential

Just when driving 100KPH and above, only 72K kilometers on my X. No vibration before lifting the rear(stock shackles and 2 inch lifted leaf spring).

Oh ok, are you going to repair it? If you do keep me updated I’m curious to hear what you do. I went with bilstein 5100s in the front and rear, ADO BROverland leafs , and 1 inch spacers in the front as well. Got like 3 inches all around.

I don't know what to do next, maybe get a new driveshaft like yours
