do you hear a click, click click when putting t-case in 4lo?

When in Nuetral, and I put the t-case into 4lo, I can hear a click, click, click, then the 4lo light finishes blinking.

Is this normal? I have a 2006 4WD S.

thanks in advance.

Yup it is perfectly normal to get a couple of clicking sounds when shifting into and out of 4-lo. Nothing to really worry about.

i have a question along the same lines. Is it necessary to shift into neutral before putting it in 4hi or 4lo (i have an S automatic)
Yes.
You shouldn't have caused any significant problem. They are pretty strong as long as you didn't try to drive for miles and you were only going forward and backwards for a couple of feet.

So how many times have you been sent to find that form?? :clown:
That's funny. How long you been in for?
Been really busy as I'm getting ready to get out myself. Reading posts are hit and miss for now. Packing up the house, etc.
I'm getting out due to being a "fat ass" according to the navy so it's not by choice and I've got 10 years in but oh well things happen for a reason.

That is one of the reasons I got out when I did. I was always on the command's "Fat-Boy Program" and it was turning into a drag, because at that time the Navy was looking for any reason to discharge you.
Now they are starting up again with that. I remember back in 95 when they offered people to early out and not many wanted to so they lowered the body fat to 22% to get them out and they are doing it now with three in a row you're out. They have over 27,000 that will be getting out because of that and now the navy is starting to feel the burn of that and are reconsidering from what I have heard from the navy times.
