so many of us have CBs, and i've seen a number of different places the antennas have been mounted......so lets share to invoke ideas in other!!!!

ok, me first!

looks like your basic mounting from the door hinge right??

bam!...not sure what use it really has mounting like this, but i though it would be cool!

so here's the bracket and the way it was mounted, simply drilled into the hatch

it's a tight squeeze, but it works!

my contribution to trying something a little different...

ok, let's seem some others now!

Forgive my ignornace, but wouldn't the continued opening and closing of the hatch loosen the screws or enlarge the holes? I'm assuming that they are rather short sheet metal screws holding that bracket in place as I didn't see nuts on the outside of the hatch skin... With all the motion that an antenna is put through, I would think that you would want the mount to be as sturdy as possible...

Regardless, it is a neat idea and it looks good. If it makes you happy and it works, then so be it. It's your truck.

Good luck.

The center of the truck is the best for a uniform transmit/receive pattern. I put an aluminum bar in behind my light bar for my ham radio antenna.
